Any slave that set foot in England or Scotland was legally free.
That declaration is still valid today as it was in June 1772, old slavery or modern slavery is still not supported in the English law. The enactment of the Modern Slavery Act, 2015 affirms that declaration. No carer or domestic worker, British or migrant should ever exploited.
